What I like most about events like these is that you meet some of the most interesting people. One of the gentleman at my table was a retired locomotive engineer; another was a part-time yacht captain. I only wish I had gotten around to meeting even more of the guests personally.

The evening started with four samplings of The Glenlivet single malt scotch. For this a Davidoff Aniversario No. 2 was selected for its excellent balance and intense aroma.

During the dinner portion, both white and red wines were served accompanied by a Davidoff Special Series Short Perfecto. This is a creamy-smoking, full-bodied cigar with just the right proportions to last the length of the meal.

For after-dinner the attendees were given two Davidoff cigars: a full-bodied Davidoff Millennium Churchill and a Davidoff Limited Edition Diademas Finas. Moreover, just about everyone got to take at least one of them home with them to stew in their humidor and enjoy at another time.
