Famous Smoke Shop adds more names to its 70th Anniversary cigars stable

It's amazing how fast this year has flown by. We're only a couple of months away from 2010, and as I look back on this year, I'm equally amazed at how many new cigars have made their way into the Famous Smoke Shop catalog. I'm not just talking about the latest cigars from Camacho, Padron, Pepin Garcia, Perdomo, or Rocky Patel, to name some of the more recognizable brands; I'm talking about cigars that are exclusive to Famous Smoke Shop.
After perusing the list, I realized that there are way too many new cigars to cover in this column. I'll get around to them, but since October is our official 70th Anniversary month, this week I want to draw your attention to the new Famous Private Selection 70th Anniversary cigars, each made by the world's most highly regarded cigar makers, including the five names mentioned above.
Famous 70th Anniversary by Camacho (Honduras)

Famous 70th Anniversary by Perdomo (Nicaragua)

Nick Perdomo used an all Nicaraguan-leaf blend of tobaccos aged a minimum of 3 years graced by a silky, Cuban-seed Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. This full-flavored smoke begins with peppery notes then mellows to reveal complex woody-nutty flavors on a long finish with an ash that doesn't want to let go.

Only Nestor Plasencia could come up with a cigar this flavorful using no ligero tobacco. A blend of perfectly-aged Nicaraguan and Honduran longfillers plus a pristine Nicaraguan Habano Rosado wrapper offer an utterly smooth and deliciously complex medium to full-bodied smoke with a spicy edge. Based on some samples that we had recently, the smoke has a lot of Rocky's signature semi-sweet, earthy characteristics, blooming into a woody-peppery smoke with notes of nut and dark chocolate flavors.
