Cigars without ligero
Q. Are there any premium cigars blended without ligero tobacco?

A. Although the "standard" recipe for blending premium cigars is comprised of ligero, viso, and seco tobaccos, some mild cigars do not use ligero. However, I do know of one full-bodied cigar brand that's made with no ligero - the Famous 70th Anniversary by Plasencia (shown). It also goes to show that with all the knowledge tobacco growers and blenders have developed over the years, today anything is possible.
